BIO / Victoria: The Pleasure Coach

Still undecided about a career direction in my final quarter at UCLA (BA Sociology) my fate was sealed by a fluke meeting just weeks before graduation.  And thus I began a long and exciting career in the tv biz.  I went on to work in all genres of programming (sitcom, soap opera, talk show, documentaries, live events, even CBS' NFL Today) in Los Angeles then New York, collecting a few awards along the way. When I landed at the Children's Television Workshop, I decided to specialize in children's television. It was this expertise (I had worked with Elmo!) that paved the way to my relocation to Paris.

In Paris, I became acutely aware of how I had personally changed by living in a culture which not only permits -  but values – pleasure. The most powerful of which is sexual pleasure.  I was forever changed -- both personally and professionally.  I bid a fond farewell to my media career.

And so after an abrupt career pause due to illness, I began to craft a service to promote sexual wellbeing. Research, integrity, passion and common sense were my touchstones. What started as talk-only coaching quickly evolved, since I realized the only true way to create positive change was through the mind-body link. Enter: courage.  It is quite accepted for sex experts to deliver their knowledge through words, but it's quite another to include somatic techniques.  Two years into my innovative work, I stumbled on a program in San Francisco that mirrored what I had intuitively created.  I immediately enrolled and became a Certified Sexological Bodyworker at the Institute of Advanced Studies of Human Sexuality. This certification is approved by the state of California and the International Institute of Sexological Bodywork. I'm also a professional member of AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists.)

As a somatic sexologist, I'm now one of maybe a few hundred people on the planet with this skill set.  Moreover, as the travel capital of the world, Paris allows me to meet and work with an extraordinarily diverse group of clients -  women, men and couples from around the globe representing every country, culture, religion, age group, and social level. In addition, living with fibromyalgia/cfs, and most recently a surprise visit from breast cancer, allow me to counsel with a first hand knowledge that is priceless to those who live with health issues. I'm certain that working with my own sexual energy through these difficult chapters has allowed me to emerge, well, victorious!

What this means to you is that no matter where you are in your life, your body, or your story...my experience and compassion can help you begin to live with increased pleasure and heightened sexual energy.

I've come to believe that sexual energy is pretty much attached to everything we do and whether we realize it or not, is often the motor.  When we're comfortable with our sexual selves and living with our sexual energy "switched on" we live, love and choose differently than if we're closed, blocked or prioritizing elsewhere.  And so, my mission: making the planet a better place...
